Beached

1

Eyes relieved by smiles

weary of utterance

footwear and local

taxi rates.

Advertisements, subsidies

partial and consequent,

heat and dust proclaimed.

As if a single unit

beached a whole family

for increased velocity.

Fumbling associations and rumours

cut backs  coitus interruptus

shots silhouetted at dusk

without noise, smog.

Swarm of termites

incommensurate intentions

marking allocations, bus depots

on a prostrate body

finger walking in drained deposits

of silent worry, and ensuring

that it’s hush hush for now.

2

So sweet to lie in residence

cut noughts of elder ground

                        outlying

divisionary market

anterior disturbance

all change in thought

and gene.

Contrary to tempestuous melting

                    circulatory flow

stain of severance

         stretched party line, inclusivity.

Deliberate monitor runs deep lesion

cross the porcelain grain

without replacement.

Effluent flows

                         unrestricted.

There are animals and beings

falling in numbers and variety.

Cohesion

                 skin

                          eclipsed.

Of Being Heard

Your words lap and slap

insist against something

not so insistent.

Let them enter and release

more than horizon

from my throat.

Dip him in the river,

wrote Blake,

when the waters break, say I

wanting wetness

revelation,

                  electricity.

The thing itself

coming, to disassemble

re-model,

somehow boundless

stuck and sticky

as we sit

in this moonlit

breach

that opens and shuts,

utterly suggestive,

as lips,

of being heard.
