Rimbaud at 15

What language would God speak if he existed?
What colour is the letter M?
What kind of shell is a woman's ear?
What sea creature rests inside of it?

To this strange, rummaged soul
it's clear that Charleville
is a blister at the heel,
that family is an objection, and
freedom may be the only universe
contained within seven letters.
A thrill travels through him

to escape under an imposing sky
that knits the brow to the point of compass.
His restless hands swing
and create monsters out of shadow.
